In our last children’s Bible study we read Mathew 10;28-33.

28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

We talked about how the only thing that we should fear is the Lord. To serve the Lord, you have a choice before you. Who are you going to serve? Are you going to care about what others can do to you, what others may think of you, or are you going to seek to please the Lord, in everything that you do? You cannot do both. To choose one is to deny the other.

He tells his disciples that the very hairs on their head are numbered, and that they are more valuable than many sparrows.
In reading this, we discussed the great love that the Lord has toward us. How it is far better than any way that we can love. In fact, we cannot truly love another person without him filling us with His love, that we may pour it out to others. Our love is imperfect. His love is perfect, and that’s what we need to walk in, that others might know the goodness of God.
