The holidays are in full swing which means its eggnog season! Eggnog is a delicious treat but can be high in fat and processed sugar. Try making some quick and healthy eggnog at home to share with family and friends this year.

HEALTHY EGGNOG
6 large egg yolks
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
3 cup low-fat milk
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:
1. Whisk egg yolks, maple syrup and milk together in a medium saucepan until combined, and then place on a burner over medium heat. Whisk continuously until the mixture reaches around 160* F and lightly coats the back of a metal spoon.

2. Remove from the heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Stir in the spices and vanilla.

3. Chill in the fridge for a few hours or overnight. Whisk well before serving. Enjoy!
