Congratulations to Valencia's Eda Davis-Lowe, assistant vice president, partnerships for educational equity, who was named one of 35 outstanding women in higher education by DiverseJobs. In honor of Women’s History Month, the list recognizes women who have made a difference in academics by tackling some of higher education’s toughest challenges, exhibiting extraordinary leadership skills and making a positive difference in their respective communities.

Eda was specifically selected for her contributions to the field of #STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). She also championed the creation and evolution of the College’s Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program, a partnership among some colleges in Florida seeking to increase the number of underrepresented minority students in STEM.
